Watercolor Painting Holiday in the French Pyrénées:

Saturday through Saturday, July 12-19, 2025. Mornings we will be painting quick monochromatic watercolors of my Roman model Laura, and afternoons we will each pick a still life model from the farm gardens to paint. There will be one free day mid-week for visiting the surrounding area or painting on one’s own. The four course meals and surroundings are divine. It will be a beautiful week full of painting.

Students will learn techniques for making fast and fluid monochromatic watercolors of figures, with poses that range from 30 seconds to a half-hour.  We will examine the finer details of nature, form, light and color in fresh local produce to paint simple essential colorful still lifes.  Individual instruction will be given to each student, to brush control, wetness, and use of the paper.  All levels from beginners to advanced welcome.
